Record Vocals On Fl Studio 9

Use FL Studio 9 to record vocals.

In order to record vocals on FL Studio 9 music software, proper items and settings are required. A computer sound card is required when recording vocals. Items such as a microphone are required to record vocals, and headphones or external speakers are also required for playback. The FL Studio 9 interface uses Edison recording when recording from external sources such as microphones, MIDI or other digital devices.

Instructions

1. Open the software and create a new file by selecting "New" from the "File" menu at the top. Plug the microphone into the "Microphone" input located on the computer sound card.

2. Select the "Mixer" icon at the top of the screen, and select an empty track in the "FX" field. Click the drop down arrow, and select the "Edison" plugin from the list.

3. Click out of the "Mixer" window, and select the "Microphone" icon from the top of the screen. Choose the "Into Edison audio editor/recorder" option from the drop-down list. Select the delay time from when the recording starts by setting the "Metronome."

4. Click the "Record" button from the "Transport" bar at the top, and speak or sing into the microphone. Press the stop button when you are finished recording. Delete and re-record the sample if you are not satisfied with any take.

5. Play the sample back by pressing the "Play" button from the "Transport" bar. Save the file once you are satisfied by clicking "File", then "Save."
