Speed Up My Internet Connection

You can speed up your Internet connection by clearing your cache and cookies.


Computer users access the Internet for a variety of reasons, such as to buy a product online, check email, chat with friends and go to social networking websites. It becomes a chore to complete these tasks, however, when you have a slow online connection. By knowing clear your Internet cache and delete the cookies on your computer, you can increase the speed of your online connection.


Instructions


1. Open your Internet browser. Your computer keeps a record of the sites you visit and stores a great deal of user information on its cache, history and in the form of Internet cookies. When you do not clean these three areas on your computer, your online connection may operate more slowly.


2. Click "Tools." Wait for the pull-down menu to come up and show the list of available options. Choose the "Delete Browsing History" or "Clear Browsing History" option.


3. Put check marks in the "Temporary Internet Files" and "Cookies" boxes. Push "Delete" and allow your computer to remove this data from your system.
