When you have a laptop computer, the convenience and portability allows you to set up a work area virtually anywhere. From an easy chair to the couch to even your bed, you can be comfortable and productive. Make sure you have all of your essentials nearby and plenty of pillows for comfort and support. Keep in mind that a laptop must always have its cooling vents free of obstructions. Place your laptop onto a specially designed cooling pad or laptop support stand to ensure your laptop will not overheat.
Instructions
1. Plug your laptop into to a surge protector, and then plug the surge protector into a nearby wall outlet to ensure your laptop battery will not discharge.
2. Acquire a cooling pad or support stand that will fit the dimensions of your laptop. You will place this stand on your lap and place the laptop on top of the stand. In this way, the vents of your laptop will be free to keep your laptop sufficiently cool.
3. Situate yourself with plenty of pillows behind your back and head so you can sit in an upright position as you work in bed. If you do not adequately support your back and arms, you may experience fatigue and discomfort.
4. Keep your other essentials with you for easy access as you work. You will likely need a pencil, paper and telephone from time to time as you work at various tasks on your laptop.
