Use My Wireless Guitar With Rock Band On The Xbox 360

Use My Wireless Guitar With Rock Band on the Xbox 360

"Rock Band" is a popular music simulation game that lets players take on the role of a member in a rock band and play guitar, drums, bass or sing vocals. The game takes advantage of the Xbox 360's wireless controller capabilities and makes use of a wireless guitar modeled after a Fender Stratocaster. Follow these steps to setup your guitar and learn the fundamentals of playing.

Instructions

1. Install the batteries. You will find the battery compartment on the back of the guitar controller. Just pop open the slot cover and insert the three AAA batteries.

2. Sync the guitar controller with your Xbox 360. Turn on your Xbox 360 console and turn on your guitar controller by pressing the "Xbox" button on the guitar. Simultaneously press the "Sync" button on you Xbox console and the "Sync" button on the guitar controller. After a moment, the controller will be synced with the console.

3. Insert the "Rock Band" game and start up a session.

4. Play a note by pressing the required green, red, yellow, blue, or orange "Fret" buttons and strumming the strum bar. Strumming the strum bar up and down both work and will be required for the faster, harder songs.

5. Hold the "Fret" button down to execute long notes indicated by a long colored line instead of just the "Fret" button on screen.

6. Hit the whammy bar to change the pitch of a held note.

7. Use the solo pad near the bottom of the neck on the guitar to execute guitar solos.

8. Tilt the guitar neck upwards to activate Overdrive to give you more points.

9. Follow the notes on-screen and press them in order, remembering to strum for the note to be registered.
