Use Other Acne Products With Tazorac

Tazorac is a topical cream that is used to treat facial acne. Consisting of a compound similar to Vitamin A, it has been shown to reduce the appearance of acne and to help improve the texture of the skin. It is typically applied to clean, dry skin, often in a thin layer. Acne sufferers, however, sometimes find that they have to use Tazorac in conjunction with other acne products to clear their acne entirely.

Instructions

1. Note all the medication, topical or otherwise, that you are currently taking.

2. Speak to your doctor or dermatologist. He will be able to advise whether it is safe for you to use Tazorac alongside other topical acne medications. Be sure to write down any questions that you have before your appointment with your doctor, so that you don't forget anything. You might want to bring along a pad and pen to make notes.

3. Talk to your pharmacist. She is specially trained and therefore, like your doctor, will be able to answer any questions you have about drug interactions. Make sure that you let her know all the medications that you are taking so that she can give you the correct information.

4. Apply the other topical creams that you would like to use. Be sure to read the warning labels, paying close attention to any information regarding potential drug interactions. Follow the directions for all acne products closely to minimize potential misuse or interactions.
