Your iPod can be used for more than listening to music. These portable media devices can be used to copy and transfer music between computers. Downloading an easy-to-use software program will make the process easy.
Instructions
1. Download and install the software program iPodRip.
2. Connect the iPod to your computer. Close any windows, including iTunes, that open.
3. Open iPodRip. A "Welcome" window will open.
4. Choose "Manual Import."
5. Click "Continue." A larger window will appear and the iPod songs will appear in that window. The program iTunes also will open. Keep iTunes running.
6. Highlight the songs you want to transfer from the iPod to iTunes. To select multiple songs in iPodRip, hold the "Ctrl" key ("Cmd" key if using a Mac) as you click on the songs you wish to transfer.
7. Click the "Import" button at the bottom of the window. All of the songs you selected will be transferred to iTunes.
8. Close iTunes and iPodRip and disconnect your iPod when finished.
