Fruity Loops
is a music authoring program that allows users to create musical arrangements though a simplified interface. Fruit Loops can record audio for the purpose of adding real instruments to a track, adding human vocals, or creating loop samples that can then be clipped, sped up, or slowed down to add to the sound of a piece of music. Recording audio through Fruity Loops is relatively straightforward.
Instructions
1. Click "Options" and select "Audio Settings" in the Fruity Loops main application window.
2. Select the Audio Stream Input/Output (ASIO) driver for your sound card in the drop-down menu and close the audio settings window.
3. Click the disk icon at the bottom of the Mixer window and select a location to which your audio will be recorded. The disk icon will turn orange.
4. Click the icon in the upper left-hand corner of the Mixer window to open a pop-up menu, then select "Disk Recording" and check "32Bit Float Recording." Check "Auto-create Audio Clip."
5. Click the "Record" icon on the Transport panel at the top of the screen to enable recording. Hit the "Play" button to begin recording, and the "Stop" button to end.
