Get Internet Service Without A Land Line

Back in the day when the Internet was still new, it was difficult to go online without having a telephone line. But with today's advances in broadband technology, you don't need a landline to get Internet service. Although Internet service is commonly offered as a package deal with a landline, there are many ways you can get Internet service and save money without needing a home phone or a subscription to a landline service.

Instructions

1. Apply for Internet service through a local satellite company. Most satellite companies offer Internet plans bundled with their TV programming package. If you are already a subscriber to a satellite company, contact them and ask if they offer discounts if you were to add Internet service to your current satellite programming subscription.

2. Apply for Internet service through your cell phone carrier. Most cell phone carriers offer monthly data plans for a monthly fee, allowing you to access the Internet anywhere using your cellphone or a USB stick designed to pick up 3G or 4G signals. Contact your local cell phone carrier or visit their official website to find the data plan that is best for you.

3. Use Wi-Fi Internet at your favorite cafe or coffee shop. Most large chain coffee shops offer free unlimited internet access throughout any of their branches without the need of a VIP or membership card.

4. Connect to the Internet via wireless Internet connection or Hot Spots. Turn on your computer's Wi-Fi connection and use available wireless Internet signals at stores or places of business that offer them as a complimentary service. And who knows --- if one of your neighbors uses wireless Internet, she may let you use her Internet for free.
