Medical proposals are often submitted in attempt to gain funding for research projects or educational medical texts. Proposals are a brief synopsis of the research to be conducted or the educational material to be presented with the hopes of filling a need in our society. All proposals require a governing body to witness the presentation such as the American Medical Association. Planning and preparation go into developing a proposal and does take time.
Instructions
1. Identify the subject matter you wish to be funded and why you chose the subject. For example, diabetes and the onset of neuropathy could produce desired results when you describe the conditions associated and how you would utilize this information to draw new conclusions or find a treatment.
2. Research all the information pertaining to your subject matter and create a rough draft of your proposal. Write down any key points you feel would help your proposal captivate your audience while getting your point across.
3. Compile all your information into a first draft. Introduce your subject matter with a definition and follow with items such as statistics, past research, publications and problems faced. In addition to these items, include methods of research, cost of research and publishing, desire for any future funding and a brief summary of your presentation.
4. Include visual aids in your proposal. Graphs and charts are ideal for showing the impact your subject matter has on the medical industry.
5. Simplify your proposal by using headers, an appendix and listing all reference material. This allows your audience to verify the legitimacy of what you are presenting. Write in an actionable voice and simple sentences. You do not want to be seen as rambling or too technical.
