Whiten Lumineers

A whitening pen can enhance the appearance of teeth with Lumineer porcelain veneers.

Lumineers are extremely thin porcelain veneers that can be placed directly on teeth to give you a bright-white smile. Although Lumineers are stain-resistant, they can gradually change color because as a translucent dental veneer, the Lumineer reflects some of a tooth's natural color. To maintain a Lumineer's bright-white quality, it helps to whiten the tooth behind the veneer.

Instructions

1. Purchase a carbamide peroxide whitening pen.

2. Remove the cap of the whitening pen.

3. Turn the bottom of the whitening pen in a clockwise motion, to make a small amount of whitening gel appear on the tip.

4. Gently brush the back of the tooth that has the Lumineer veneer and apply a thin layer of whitening gel.

5. Allow an hour for the whitening gel to absorb.

6. Rinse the tooth with water. Brush teeth normally.

7. Repeat Steps 3 to 5 until you have applied whitening gel to the backs of all teeth that have Lumineer dental veneers.

8. Continue this process once a day for two weeks, or until you get your desired results.
