Work For the FBI
The FBI is a form of government law enforcement that focuses primarily on investigation. There are numerous branches of the FBI that you can choose to go into, however, all agents must undergo the same extensive training program. FBI agents enjoy competitive pay and government benefits packages.
Instructions
1. Avoid drugs and legal trouble of all types. The FBI is extremely selective about who is offered a position. They will conduct thorough background checks of each applicant that include interviews with family members and people from your past. A squeaky clean record will work in your favor.
2. Earn a four year college degree. Your degree can be in anything you wish, however, some degrees (such as political science or foreign studies) work more in your favor than others.
3. Maintain excellent grades and participate in extracurricular activities in college. The FBI wants to see that you took your educaton seriously and thus will take your future job seriously as well. Extracurricular activities demonstrate that you are well rounded adn were able to balance tasks well while still maintaining a high GPA.
4. Learn a foreign language. The FBI actively pursues those who can serve as translators in a pinch. The more challenging the language is (i.e. Arabic)the more your fluency will help you become an FBI agent.
5. Spend at least five years after college in a law enforcement position. This is an experience requirement for entry into the FBI.
6. Be in top physical condition. The FBI requires prospective agents to undergo extreme physical training and testing. Your goal is not only to pass the tests, but to pass the tests with flying colors.
7. Learn to shoot. All prospective agents are given shooting exams. The better your prowess with a firearm, the higher you will score.
