Make A Computer Wirelesscompatible

Wireless networking is the wave of the future, allowing computer users to access the Internet from anywhere in their home without the burden of constant cables strewn throughout the house. Preparing your computer to become wireless-compatible only requires the installation of a wireless adapter. Even if you are computer-shy and worried about working "under the hood" of your PC, you can still make your computer wireless-compatible with the use of a Universal Serial Bus (USB) wireless adapter.

Instructions

1. Insert the disk that came with your USB wireless adapter into your computer.

2. Choose the "Install" option to install all required drivers and software for your new wireless adapter.

3. Plug the adapter into an available USB port on your computer.

4. Restart the machine.

5. Open the "Start" menu, click on the "All Programs" list and open the program for the wireless adapter. Input your wireless network information and press "Connect" to connect to the network.
