Make Rose Headbands

You can save money by making your own rose headbands.

Weddings can be very costly, especially when you have to purchase every individual accessory for each bridesmaid and the bride. For example, rose headbands alone can be expensive if you purchase them from a professional wedding designer. Instead of buying premade headbands, you can make the headbands yourself using craft materials. This can allow you to spend your money on the more important items of the wedding, such as the gown and the cake. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Push a hot glue stick into the back of a hot glue gun. Plug the hot glue gun into an electrical outlet to heat up for 10 minutes.

2. Cut a piece of satin ribbon to measure 24 inches long. Squeeze a dollop of hot glue onto one end of the ribbon and press it onto one end of a wire headband. Wrap the ribbon around the headband, and glue the other end of the ribbon onto the other end of the headband as before. Let the hot glue cool for one to two minutes.

3. Pull pink and white silk roses off their stems. Squeeze a dollop of hot glue onto the base of each rose, then press the glued side of each rose onto the ribbon-wrapped headband. Hold each rose in place until the hot glue cools and hardens, which will take between one and two minutes.

4. Squeeze hot glue onto the end of a stem of silk baby's breath and insert the baby's breath stem onto the ribbon-wrapped headband underneath the roses. Repeat to add as many pieces of baby's breath as you prefer.

5. Repeat this process to make as many rose headbands as you will need for your wedding party.
