Install A Carelink Usb

CareLink USB is a USB drive configured with the Carelink data collection application. Carelink tracks data from insulin pumps and glucose monitors for diabetes patients, and the data is saved to the USB device to be uploaded to the Carelink Personal software. Carelink USB helps medical professionals and diabetics manage insulin distribution and glucose levels. The Carelink USB device is easy to install, as most of the process is automated. However, you need to be running Internet Explorer as Administrator in order to complete the installation and initial upload.


Instructions


1. Close Internet Explorer.


2. Right-click on the "Internet Explorer" icon in the Windows taskbar, or click the Windows "Start" button and then click "All Programs." Right-click on the "Internet Explorer" option to show the context menu.


3. Click the "Run as Administrator" option.


4. Open the Carelink Personal application in Internet Explorer and log in with your Carelink user ID and password. Click "OK."


5. Click "Next." The Select the Link Device screen opens.


6. Click the drop-down box, then click "Carelink USB" from the list. The USB drivers are installed to the computer, then instructions display on the screen to insert the USB drive into a free USB port on the computer.


7. Insert the USB device into a free USB port on the machine. The USB driver installation completes and the Carelink USB is installed. The Select Your Device screen opens.


8. Click the radio button next to the insulin pump or glucose monitoring device that created the data, and click "Next." The Verifying Connection window opens.


9. Click "Next" to upload the data, then click "Finish" once the data is uploaded to complete the process and close the window.
