Make A Cd Of Wedding Music

Handcraft your special day with a CD of wedding music.

Weddings are a time to celebrate a life-changing decision in the lives of two people. Most cultures celebrate with a ceremony and reception. Receptions typically include food and dancing. The music choices depend on the couple and can be played by a DJ, a band or over a stereo system. Creating a wedding CD lets couples handcraft their special day and saves money. Make the perfect wedding mix and dance the night away with friends and family.

Instructions

1. Pick out songs that you want to be played at the reception. A variety of song styles make dancing fun. Choose a romantic song for the first dance, line-dancing songs and danceable popular songs. Write down the song selection. If the chosen songs are already on your computer, move on to Step 3.

2. Upload CDs to the computer by placing them in the CD-R drive and saving them to the Music folder. Or, buy and download songs from online music sites (see Resources).

3. Put all the music files that you want on CDs into one folder and label it "Wedding Music."

4. Open the CD burning software on the computer. Most programs come with a simple user interface with clear instructions. Click "Create New Project" (or similar wording). Find the folder labeled "Wedding Music" and click "OK."

5. Insert a blank disc into CD-R drive. Click "Burn Disc." The computer will check to make sure the disc has enough room to hold the music. If there are too many songs, the program will post a message that asks if you want to put the songs on more than one disc. Click "Yes" and continue.

6. Wait for the CD to finish burning and remove from disc drive. Label this CD "Wedding Music" with a permanent marker and put it in a CD case. If the project requires more than one CD, insert the next CD into the drive to continue burning the CD of wedding music.
