Get Rid Of Surgery Scars On Your Belly

You can fade belly scars using a variety of treatments.

Belly surgery can leave behind scars that may last a lifetime. Scarred skin will appear different in color and texture than the surrounding skin. Scars resulting from surgical procedures will tend to be deeper and more persistent than those resulting from minor injury. Getting rid of surgical scars can be a challenge as a result. Topical and noninvasive treatments are available to reduce their appearance and eventually fade them entirely. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Saturate a cotton ball with helichrysum oil and dab the scarred area. Hold in place on the scar for 5 minutes, three times a day until the scar fades.

2. Rub vitamin E oil into the scar every morning and night until its appearance improves. Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that helps to nourish and improve the skin's appearance.

3. Massage cocoa butter into the scar each day. Emollients in cocoa butter help break down scar tissue and improve the skin's surface.

4. Use an over-the-counter scar treatment cream each day. Follow the directions of use until the scar begins to fade. Older scars may require a longer treatment period.

5. Speak to your dermatologist about laser scar removal. This noninvasive procedure uses laser beams to break apart scar tissue and resurface the skin. The number of visits you require will be dependent on the size and severity of your scar.
