Americans try a variety of diets every day.
Any Internet search can turn up dozens of fads diets, all of which claim to be best way to lose weight. But, if you want to lose 10 pounds in 11 days -- there is one diet that some doctors are recommending to sufferers of conditions like epilepsy and Parkinson's Disease -- which can help those without medical conditions, to lose weight as well. This 90 percent fat diet can result in quick weight loss, but should not be followed for more than the recommended 11 days.
Instructions
1. Purchase high fat foods. The aim of this diet is to eat foods that are ultra high in fat, alongside a normal reduced-calorie diet. As you will be limiting your calories to 1200 per day, your body will think it is starving, and it will try to store fat. However, as your diet contains 90 percent fat, there will not be enough carbohydrates or protein for it to use as energy. As a result, it will start to use your body's stored fat.
2. Eat three reduced-calorie meals a day. Your daily intake should not exceed 1800 calories for men, and 1200 calories for women. On top of this, eat several high fat snacks. Try foods like full fat yogurt, cheese, coconut oil, and mayonnaise. High fat meat, like pork can also be included. For example, a meal could be three or four rashers of bacon with cheese, or a cup of full fat yogurt with coconut oil.
3. Drink 3 to 4 quarts of water daily. Water is very important when following this diet to prevent kidney problems and constipation.
4. Add vitamin supplements to your food. You will not get the best balance of required vitamins on a full fat diet, so supplements must be taken every day.
5. Keep a record of how many calories you eat per day, and the weight you lose. After 11 days, you should have lost 10 pounds.
