Listen To A Cd On A Laptop

Play a CD on your laptop using Windows Media Player or iTunes.


You can listen to a CD on a laptop using audio software that is already installed on your computer. All Windows laptops have Windows Media Player pre-installed. All Apple Macbook laptops have iTunes pre-installed. Both of these programs can be used to quickly and effortlessly listen to a CD on your laptop.


Instructions


PC


1. Click the "Start" button on your toolbar.


2. Highlight the category labeled "Programs" and click "Windows Media Player."


3. Insert the CD you want to listen to on your laptop.


4. Click the "Play" button and the CD will playback on your laptop's speakers. To play a different song on the CD, simply double-click the song title. If you would like to rip the audio from the CD and save it to your computer click the "Rip CD" button.


Macintosh


5. Click the "iTunes" icon in the dock of your computer.


6. Insert the CD you want to listen to on your laptop.


7. Click "Yes" when iTunes asks if you would like to rip audio from the CD and save it to your computer. After the first song from the CD is imported, it will automatically begin playing. To play a different song on the CD, simply double-click the song title. If you would like to play the CD without importing it, click "No" when iTunes asks if you would like to import the CD to your computer. Then click the "Play" button and the CD will begin playing.
