Find Free Wifi Spots In Austin

You would expect that since Austin is one of the high-tech capitals of the world it would have lots of free wi-fi spots, and you'd be right. Wi-fi is all around:

Instructions

1. Head to the central business district downtown and Zilker Park south of downtown for wireless hot spots. Set up shop in a cafe, hotel, high-rise or a bench in front of City Hall.

2. Surround yourself with books and head to any location of the Austin Public Library, to the Texas State Law Library or such bookstores as MonkeyWrench Books, BookPeople and Resistencia.

3. Hook up anywhere on campus if you study at or work for the University of Texas.

4. Eat and write on your laptop by checking out such free wi-fi spots as Star Seeds Cafe on the East Side, Guero's on SoCo, and all locations of Schlotzsky's, Antonio's Tex-Mex and Opal Divine's.

5. Drink your java and work on your novel. Try your luck at such coffee houses as 360 Primo up north, Quack's in Hyde Park, Mozart's on the lake, Fair Bean Coffe and Ruta Maya down south, Spiderhouse in North Campus, Flightpath near North Loop or the various locations of Flipnotics Coffeespace and Austin Java Cafe.

6. Get an adult beverage at such wi-fi hot spots as Lovejoy's Tap Room, Molotov Lounge, Mother Egan's and B.D. Riley's Irish Pub downtown, Cain and Abel's the Crown and Anchor Pub and Posse East near campus, the Longbranch Inn on the East Side and The Tavern on North Lamar.

7. Mix work with erotic titilation and check out the Yellow Rose of Austin men's club on North Lamar, though if you need to bring your laptop to a place like that, you might do well to ponder if you work too much.
