A Y-cable audio splitter will allow you to hook your computer up to your sound system.
Connecting a computer to a sound system will greatly enhance the audio of your computer. This is especially useful if your computer doubles as a DVD player or your primary music player. Now, you can watch movies with full surround sound or turn your computer into your own personal jukebox that can be played during parties and get-togethers.
Instructions
1. Make sure your speakers and computer are both turned off before connecting the Y-cable audio splitter for safety purposes.
2. Connect the mini-plug end of the Y-cable audio splitter into your computer's line-out jack. This can be found on the back of the computer tower.
3. Connect the red and white RCA ends of the Y-cable into the red and white ports of the auxiliary connection on the back of your speaker system (red connects to red, white connects to white).
4. Turn on the speakers and your computer to test the sound levels. Adjust the volume level on your stereo.
