"Rock Band" is a music simulation game that lets players take on the role of a member in a rock band and sing or play guitar, drums or bass. For the Wii version of "Rock Band," the game controllers work wirelessly in a similar way to the Wii remote. If you are having issues with the game or the instruments, you can troubleshoot the problem.
Instructions
1. Insure that the guitar and drums have batteries properly inserted and that they power on correctly. Insert the microphone cable into the USB port on the back of the Wii.
2. Sync the instruments with the Wii. With the instrument and the Wii both turned on, press the "Sync" button on your instrument in conjunction with the "Sync" button on the Wii to pair the instrument to your console.
3. Calibrate the instruments if you are experiencing lag or your instruments timing is off. Go to "Options" on the main menu and select "Calibrate System." Select the type of TV you have to automatically calibrate. If that does not work, you may need to manually calibrate it to get it just right.
4. Turn on a controller for use with the microphone. Since the mic does not come with any buttons, it will need to be paired with a controller in order to navigate the menus.
5. Check the "Rock Band" game disc for fingerprints, scratches and smudges if the disc is not playing properly. Clean the disc with a soft, non-abrasive cloth, wiping from inside to out only. Never wipe in circular motions.
