There are many benefits to keeping up with your waist measurements. If you are losing weight, consistently recording your waistline measurement is a good way to track your progress. Doctors say a healthy waistline circumference should be no more than 32 inches for women and no more than 37 inches for men. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Find your waistline. Feel for your waistline between your hip bones and the bottom of your rib cage. Across the top of your belly button or slightly higher should be where your waistline falls.
2. Place one end of a cloth tape measure at the top of your belly button or where your waistline falls. Start at the beginning of the tape measure, at 0 inches.
3. Wrap the tape measure around your waist until you reach where you started measuring.
4. Use a mirror to make sure the tape measure is wrapped straight across your waistline and not angling up or down.
5. Read the last number on the tape measure where it meets the beginning of the tape measure, at 0 inches. This number is your waistline measurement.
